The most common issue is selecting the ZIP file or the wrong nested folder instead of the folder that contains manifest.json.

Install

How to load the unpacked extension in Chrome

Chrome can load unpacked extensions only from extracted folders. Follow the steps below in order and do not select the ZIP file itself.

1. Download the ZIP

Download the PandaBot Network Traffic package from the direct ZIP link above to your computer.

2. Extract the archive

Unzip the package to a folder you can keep, such as Desktop or Downloads, and confirm that manifest.json is inside the extracted folder.

3. Open Extensions

In Chrome, open chrome://extensions or use the menu path More tools and then Extensions.

4. Load unpacked

Turn on Developer mode, click Load unpacked, and select the extracted PandaBot folder that contains manifest.json.

Detailed step-by-step

  1. Download the package. Open the direct PandaBot ZIP link and save the Network Traffic package to your computer.
  2. Extract the ZIP. Right-click the ZIP and choose your extraction option, or open it with your archive tool. The result should be a normal folder, not another ZIP window.
  3. Check the folder contents. Open the extracted folder and verify that the extension files are inside it. The folder you choose in Chrome should contain manifest.json directly.
  4. Open Chrome extensions. Go to chrome://extensions.
  5. Enable Developer mode. Use the toggle in the top-right corner of the Extensions page.
  6. Click Load unpacked. Browse to the extracted PandaBot folder and select it.
  7. Confirm the extension appears. Chrome should add PandaBot Network Traffic to your installed extensions list. You can then pin it to the toolbar or open the side panel as needed.

Notes

Important install reminders

Do not load the ZIP directly

Chrome's Load unpacked works only with extracted folders. If you pick the ZIP file, the install will fail.

Select the correct folder

If the extracted package creates nested folders, keep opening them until you reach the folder where manifest.json sits at the top level, then choose that folder in Chrome.

Questions

Common install questions

Can I install it without Developer mode?

Not for this distribution format. Because this page provides an unpacked ZIP package, Chrome installation uses Developer mode and Load unpacked.

Does it work on Windows, Macintosh, and Linux?

Yes. PandaBot Network Traffic is intended to run in supported Chromium browsers on Windows, Macintosh, and Linux systems.

What if Chrome says the folder is invalid?

That usually means you selected the ZIP or the wrong folder level. Select the extracted folder that directly contains manifest.json.

Where do I get support?
